Amazing! The last two weeks we could welcome many kids and teens for the A Quechua Polo Summer Camp at our Poloclub at Kumberg/Graz, Austria. With polo coach José from Argentine, all participants could improve their game. Beside exercises like stick and ball, the kids and teens could play many Chukkers of arena- and grass polo. In addition, they learned much about horsemanship and the right grooming and handling of the polo ponies. Most of all, everyone had a very good time!
What a great weekend! We welcomed 15 new Polistas from Styrian Universities for the USI Polo Beginners Course on Saturday and Sunday. All of them were doing pretty well so that we could already play some Chukker on Sunday. All in all, you can say that all students passed the course with Summa Cum Laude. At the first weekend in May we held the A Quechua Spring Cup for the first time at our Poloclub and Poloschool at Kumberg near Graz, Austria. Three teams participated and competed for the title. A Quechua CEO and PIPA President Dr. Uwe Seebacher was specially pleased that many of the players were ‘young guns’ under the age of 18 years, who played their first ever tournament. Extremely cold temperatures, much snow: For many, the late arriving of winter in Austria was a nightmare. For us at A Quechua, it has been a blessing: Snow Polo was played during the entire weekend. Let’s play polo 2018! Today we launched our 2018 Polo-Schedule with all dates for polo courses, polo tryout-days and other polo events at A Quechua Poloclub Kumberg/Graz this year. We already started the polo season at our poloclub. Due to the good weather conditions, we could play some Chukkers on the last two weekends with many friends and polistas.

On December 26th, we invited for a horse blessing at our poloclub at Kumberg/Graz, Austria. Many people followed the invitation and spent an amazing afternoon with pony riding, music, snacks and drinks. Polo-program for 2018 is coming soon!

From April 27th to May 1st we represented polo on the Graz Spring Fair 2017. Beside many nationally and internationally renowned brands and companies like for example Tesla, our A Quechua Polo booth offered much information and latest polo fashion in a cozy and very stylish atmosphere. In addition to the usual program, we presented our new summer shirts and PIPA President Dr. Uwe Seebacher and PIPA Vice President Thomas Hofirek presented the new PIPA SPRING SEASONAL. Yesterday, on Feb. 2nd, the globally first crowdfunding campaign in the polo sport – the A Quechua Polo Crowdfunding campaign in cooperation with renowned crowdfunding provider Green Rocket – has ended. The campaign has financially not met the defined targets as only 50 % of the defined ambitious funding level were realized. However, as this initiative was set up for increasing the visibility for the polo sport and creating awareness for leading–edge polo sport companies, the campaign can be considered as successful.
Tuesday, September 12th, 2017 – what seemed to be a usual day at the ending of summer has become one of the greatest days in Austrian polo history! On this day, the 1st Austrian Polo Pony was born at our Poloclub and School at Kumberg/Graz, Austria. The little guy is in good health and already a star at our poloclub.
There is a lot of action coming in the next weeks at our poloschool at Kumberg/Graz, Austria. While this weekend our lovely polo ponies can relax and fill up their batteries, the action starts on June 17th with the Kids & Teens Polo Tryout Day, followed by a polo day for entrepreneurs and managers and a polo beginners course. All courses and tryout-days will be guided by the two times Snow Polo World Champion Uwe Seebacher.
On June 17th, Knax Club, Spark7 and A Quechua invite for a free Polo Tryout-Day for kids and teens from 7 to 27 years at our poloschool at Kumberg/Graz. On this day, the participants will get an introduction to the history and the basics of polo, they can try the first swings and – of course – they can sit on the polo pony and try to score a goal.
